Luciffer versus The Lord (Madach) Slovenčina: ...

Luciffer versus The Lord (Madach) Slovenčina: Lucifer proti Pánovi (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

When once I glanced upon a star aglow in all it’s glory,

I chanced to wonder just how far its light had traveled nearly.

And does it have a limit to how long its glow will tarry?

Or can it burn forever bright as far as light will carry?

If once it shudders and collapses is it because it’s weary?

Or can a star, rebellious, find past limits cost most dearly?

What is a black hole made of? Is it matter, anti-matter?

Or is a star intelligent, or mad as the Mad Hatter?

Once collapsed but previously, a star, so shining brightly.

Was it once an added upon of souls that traveled rightly?

Can I but dwell in righteousness, will I journey so directly?

Or maybe stop one step away, dwell first as planet, earthy.

When star was sun, did it by chance deny its truest maker?

And as result, get cast away, a swirl of Outer Darkness?

Did it refuse to operate as light source for creation?

Or was there something else that stopped its brilliant conflagration?

Did it swell with pride, its limit reach, strained to go much further,

and thus, collapse into itself, from reaching too much over.

Like Lucifer who shone so bright, and fostered insurrection,

did it try to take on too much power and end its sussuration?

I wrote a rant a while back when a gallon of milk that I brought home didn’t taste like the usual 5% butter fat “Whole Milk” that I was used to.  It tasted more like the 2% milk, only a little richer.  I noticed then, that none of the milk jugs I had purchased recently had the fat values on the labels anymore.  What’s up with that, anyway?

Which brings me to this new piece of information.  I was in a store last week talking to the guy who stocked the milk.  I mentioned to him that I had noticed that sometimes the milk didn’t taste like whole milk anymore.  He told me that was because the fat value for whole milk isn’t 5% anymore.  It’s been changed to 3% now.  He said he didn’t think the cows were making the milk as fat anymore.  I was aghast, not just for the fact that my Milk is being systematically reduced in value, but also because this national anti-fat push is actually harmful.

We need our milk fat.  It’s part of our balanced natural fat source diet.  When we don’t balance our fats,  when we limit our fat intake to only one type, and little enough of that as well, we are actually doing more damage to ourselves than people who eat bacon fat in everything.  Fats are necessary for a whole life well being.  Your body is designed to use fats as part of it’s overall system, and the glands appreciate the type of slow, even release of energy that the body’s conversion of fat to sugar provides.

Fats are what helps you be happy.  Literally!  Without fats, your metabolism is entirely dependent on immediately available sources of energy and vitamins and minerals.  We would have to be snacking all day long on mixed salads to give our body what it needed to operate properly, if we remove the fat content from our diets.  Without a Balance of the two types of fat, your arteries get clogged and damaged. You need both types to counter each other.  Natural sources of fat are the best type.

Milk fat isn’t harmful. It’s helpful.   Put the butter-fat back in the Milk!  5% was low enough!

How to Be a Serial Killer

The Journal of Medical Ethics recently accepted an article for publication from two people, Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva, who label themselves as “bio-ethicists“.  The paper that was accepted for publication in late February of 2012, declared that, “When circumstances occur after birth such that they would have justified abortion, what we call after-birth abortion should be permissible.”  Funny, the last time I looked “Bio” meant “Life”, and “Ethics” meant activities which were “Good”.  When did taking the life of a living human being become “good”?  Even taking the life of a serial killer isn’t “good”. It may be necessary to protect the lives of others, but it isn’t “good”

The publication of this paper in the Journal of Medical Ethics was reported in the Washington Times on Monday, March 12, of 2012, by Rep. Christopher H. Smith ,  who declared the rationale to be false and the activity to be nothing short of  murder.  I have to agree with him, as should any respecter of life.  The minute you accept the reasoning behind this paper, is the minute you declare Yourself to be not worth keeping alive.

If the right to life is not accepted as a standard that is extended to all live human beings, across the board, then there is no right to life at all. This is not a rationale that indicates a civilized society, nor one of love for one’s fellow human beings, nor one which should make Anyone, in Any group of people feel comfortable in their “right” to existence and respect from other human beings.  This rationale can be extended to anyone at any time for what ever “reason” they want to tack on to it, in order to “justify” killing people.

What I find equally disturbing to the premise that a baby can be considered not worth keeping alive, is that the so called, “Journal of Medical Ethics” accepted this paper for publication.  The Journal of Medical Ethics does not have to accept a paper for publication if they don’t agree that the reasoning is sound.  They did accept the paper for publication; therefore, ipso facto, they agreed that the reasoning behind this paper was “sound.”  What does this say about who we look to for declaring good medical practices?

Then, there is the amazing coincidence that these two “bio-ethicists” are apparently of Italian heritage, and this article smacks of the similar things that were declared in Italy prior to WWII.  Did they dig up the old papers and just re-hash those declarations?  or did they just come up with these insideous ideas all by themselves.  How is it that we have forgotten so soon the atrocities and the lessons of that war?   It hasn’t been that long people!  Where are your hearts?  Where are your heads?  Where is your compassion, and love of living?  Or are those things only reserved for those who write medical papers and publish them?  How sad that we earth bound have come so low, yet again; and now this insideous justification shows up Here, on Our shores, in Our publications, in Our philosophy.  Shame on us.

I haven’t written a serious post in a few weeks.  Some of the news has just been too sad, and I was left feeling speechless, or “writeless”, for the time being; however, this latest swipe by our President at the impending challengers to his current position leaves me breathless with disbelief (but not yet speechless).  Either Mr. Obama is irresponsible in his Presidential duties, or he’s seriously challenged in his critical thinking ability (or possibly both).

How a sitting President can sit in talks with an ally who is threatened daily with annihilation by another country and tell his political challengers that they can stifle the war talk is beyond me.  What belligerent country in their right mind wouldn’t take that as permission to go ahead and do whatever they want?  If I were the Iranian leadership, and I heard that (and you can be certain they have) I would be jumping up and down for joy.  Whoopee, they’ll be feeling.  “You know there’s not going to be any military reprisals from that source.” they will be thinking (and while they are thinking that, they will be planning their next belligerent move).

Maybe I was wrong to believe that once a sitting President is in the seat of power that there would be some sort of mantle of responsibility that wakes them up to real world issues.  Maybe I was mistaken in assuming that the information a sitting President receives is sufficient to help them understand the gravity of certain political situations.  Maybe this sitting President hasn’t got the memo yet, that Iran is serious about destroying Israel.

Or maybe he just doesn’t have the stuff between his ears to understand the information he receives, maybe it’s that  instead……

I don’t know what the problem is at the White House.  I hope that wasn’t something someone put on the teleprompter for him to say.  Surely the Presidential handlers vet those speeches better than that.  Surely they don’t all believe that saying such things in public, for everyone to hear, will not result in a net loss to Our nation, as well as to Israel. Surely, someone needs to check that out and make sure it doesn’t happen again; at least not during negotiations with a country you hope to intimidate into Not developing Nuclear weapons!!!
